Graduate students earning a biomedical engineering degree with a concentration in biotechnology study chemical signaling, pharmaceutical delivery and environmental conditions that affect human health. As they study cells, proteins and genetics within the context of human health, students learn about cell biology and physiology.
Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering – Biotechnology Concentration
Students looking for complete biotechnology research in this program will need an undergraduate degree in biotechnology or a closely related field. Although some students can apply directly to this program with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, most students need to earn a master’s degree. Applicants also need to pass a preliminary qualifying exam.
